What’s Up Wednesday
Hello Zesters! You may have been following along on our instagram about our journey to NY last week- it was epic! From missing our flight to having an amazing Hometalk forum to a LEGIT amount of snow and tons of yummy food- we had an adventure indeed! We were SO excited about this trip because not only were we able to meet Hometalk in person and get super inspired for 2017, but we also were able to do some research in NY for our pop up series as well as get some tourist hot spots in. One of those spots was Chelsea Market. Have you been here? Let us show you around….
But first the snow- wowzers! So beautiful!! Us little Cali girls were mesmerized.
We loved the brick walls, archaic concrete structures (like this bench) and exposed pipes everywhere. It was like being transported into an underground food and shopping court. This is our new bestie Barb from The Everyday Home – just taking a moment 🙂
No one ever goes hungry in this market- there is an endless supply of food and eye candy around every corner.
Chanda was super excited when we stumbled upon this Halva stand- the colors and flavors were undeniable. Halva is a dessert that is made primarily from nut butter and sugar. The nut butter they use is tahini (sesame seed based).
Next we stumbled upon Amy’s bread and gobbled up some of the best Almond croissants we have ever had- gah our weakness!!
From deli’s to fish market’s and tea and spice shops- they really do have it ALL.
Wandering through these ally’s will definitely be a highlight on our trip and should be a big priority on your next trip to NY!!
So have you booked your ticket yet? teehee
Brrr- not gonna lie happy to be back in Cali- but man is that view beautiful!
