Today Chanda and I ventured up north to the little town of Templeton to try out Roost. We had driven by before and were very intrigued with the name and their precious little outdoor patio. When MMmmonday rolled around there was no need to toss around ideas, we both knew exactly where we wanted to be sitting and working on this sunny afternoon. And with great pleasure we introduce this quaint little cafe that currently serves breakfast/lunch and dinner coming this June!
Gotta love the American pride and adorable bistro lights all captured in this entry.
After eyeing all their delicious jams and pastries we knew that deciding what we wanted to get for lunch would be tough!
Everything was looking so tasty, there was even more salads and specialties on the back…
And an amazing breakfast menu too- we will definitely be back with the family for the next brunch! But we settled on being good girls and ordered up some salads. Then we got cozy over on the patio….
Chanda was sipping on a yummy iced chai while I gulped down a refreshing iced tea…
And then out came her roasted beet salad with goat cheese, smoky pepitas and an herb dressing. YUM!
And my DELICIOUS chinese chicken salad complete with cashews, sesame seeds, bell peppers, cabbage, wontons and mandarin oranges in a sesame vinaigrette. I ate it ALL.
Oh happy day as the sun was shining down!! Now it was time to test out their gluten free carrot cake…
Yep- success!! Sooo yummy and the perfect sweetness and spice all gluten free for our Chanda Panda 🙂
One could definitely say we were happy campers at Roost- definitely check it out soon!
