As I am sure you all know by now, Chanda and I are foodies andddd we also love our wine. Gotta support the local wine industry, right?? And also if you haven’t heard we are throwing a fabulous night filled with food, wine and friends, you should definitely be there!! Snag your ticket here. But now back to the wine, have you been to Lone Madrone winery yet? Well you should. Not only do they have amazing wine and a beautiful tasting room, but they are just great people. SO great that they have even graciously donated to our Zesty Pop Up dinner– so you should really come and try their wine/cider there too! We thought it would be fun to give you a little tour of their beautiful tasting room, but obviously you should go and really taste the beauty too!!
The winemaker, Neil Collins, has the vineyard dry farmed and head trained- creating some spectacular blends that are really unique for West Paso…
Did we mention they make fabulous Cider as well?? You can hit up Bristols to sip away some delicious cider too! (plus you can buy wine and cider to take home here too!)
We LOVE that the tasting room used to actually be a barn and horse stable- they did a great job of maintaining the rustic charm and character with a classy and polished look. After doing a full tasting we were personally loving the 2012 Old Hat, 2012 Old Vine Zinfandel and the Barfandel- gotta love the name! haha
Views for days!!! This is the perfect place to pack a picnic, buy a bottle of wine and spend your afternoon hanging out and admiring all the beauty of the sky and landscape.
Needless to say, it was a great time filled with good wine and beauty at every corner!! I will definitely be taking my out of town guests to come tasting 🙂
