Essential Oil Diffusers

We all know that essential oils are all the buzz right now- from home remedies to cooking or in this case making your home smell amazing as well as a home remedy! Have you seen essential oil diffusers yet? Chanda and I were SO excited when we scored some super cute one’s at Michaels a few weeks back. Since then I have seen them popping up in store’s everywhere- event Costco.

Why use an essential oil diffuser you ask? If you use pure, high quality essential oils that contain no fillers/artificial ingredients/pesticides or other contaminants- just think of the amazing aroma you can be filling your your home with all the while freshening the air and having health benefits. There are so many different blends to help with different moods you want to create in your home, or each room. For example a few drops of lavender while taking a bath or going to bed? Or how about some of these basics that Earth911 recommends…


Lemon is a wonderful aromatic, topical and internal cleanser that compliments lots of other essential oils. Using lemon in a diffuser is a good way to lift moods and cleanse the air. You can even use it to boost non-toxic cleansers in your home.


Peppermint has been used for centuries to support the digestive system. It’s also good to ease breathing and cool the body.  It can be used too topically for heartburn and indigestion relief.


This is quite possibly the most versatile essential oils around. Lavender is known for its calming and soothing properties. It’s great for soothing skin allergies, calming moods and relaxing the body.


Even though many people don’t like the smell of Melaleuca, more commonly referred to as tea tree, it is a powerhouse. It has great cleansing and regenerative properties, in particular for the skin.


Did you know that Hippocrates, the father of medicine, used oregano for digestive and respiratory support as well as using it as a cleansing agent? Oregano contains flavonoids and phenolic acids, and is high in antioxidant activity.


This oil has historical significance and many uses. It is often used for immune support, relaxation and mood enhancement.

Wild Orange

Like other citrus oils, wild orange is ideal for revitalizing and energizing. It is also effective at helping to uplift mood.
